Training

The feedback we have received from
professionals is that our training makes
a positive impact on their practice.

There are a number of ways in which we can help with training
provision for professionals and carers of Looked After Children.
This includes managing contact issues, attachment issues,
how trauma affects child development and avoiding placement
breakdown.

We present theoretical and complex issues in accessible,
interactive and creative ways, enabling attendees to relate
them to real situations and cases; perhaps more importantly
they are able to make sense of the information in relation to
individual children. Life Story work with Looked After Children
has significant benefits and this is another area in which we
can offer guidance and training.

Our training model allows us to ensure that each training
group benefits from a unique experience tailored to their specific
needs, whilst at the same time covering the content needed to
meet specific aims and objectives such as the training and
developmental standards for Foster Carers from CWDC
